Job Summary
The Center Manager is responsible for assisting center staff in implementing and providing support services or the children and families enrolled in Head Start. Support services include all identified needs for the children and families.
Job Requirements
Monitor for a safe and healthy learning environment for all children, including children with disabilities. Assist with planning, training, workshops, recruitment, registration and other activities for the parents and families. Assure that all records and reports are submitted to the HS Coordinator in a timely manner. Assist with recruiting volunteers within the Head Start families and community. Establish a good rapport with the community and service agencies. Work with staff to support all Service areas. In conjunction with the Health service area, coordinate setting up preliminary screening of all children and carry out the medical and dental programs in each center. This includes setting up appointments for physicals, immunizations and for arranging transportation to and from appointments. This will be under the direction of the HS Coordinator..
